Frequently Asked Questions
Cinematic, Documentary Portraits & Family Films by Anthony Frazier
What is your photography style?
My work is a blend of documentary storytelling and cinematic portraiture.
I focus on real connection, movement, and emotion over stiff posing.
Sessions are relaxed, playful, and guided with gentle direction so nothing feels forced.
Expect warm tones, natural light, and authentic moments captured beautifully.
How do I book a session?
Use the contact form on my website to reach out with your preferred date and session type.
Once we confirm availability, a 30% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your spot.
The remaining balance is due after your session is completed.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Most clients choose to pay the retainer upfront and the remaining balance after the session, but if you need a custom plan, I’m happy to help.
Where do sessions take place?
I photograph in beautiful outdoor locations throughout:
Murphys
Angels Camp
Sacramento Area (Travel Fee May Apply)
Arnold / White Pines Lake
Columbia
Calaveras Big Trees
Bear Valley / Lake Alpine
Travel Sessions (Yosemite, Tahoe, Monterey, Bay Area, etc.) are also available and listed under my Travel Session rates.
Can we choose our location?
Absolutely. I have an extensive list of location recommendations depending on the look and feel you want — forest, meadow, lakeside, historic town, mountains, or intimate at-home sessions.
If you’re unsure, I’ll guide you to the best spot based on lighting, accessibility, and your family’s vibe.
How long are the sessions?
Half Sessions: 20 minutes
Full Sessions: 45–60 minutes
Adventure Sessions: 60–90 minutes
Newborn Sessions: 60–75 minutes
Studio Sessions: 30–60 minutes
Travel Sessions: 90–120 minutes
Cinematic film add-ons are captured during the same timeframe.
How many images will we receive?
Each package includes a curated, fully edited gallery:
Half Sessions: 10–12 images
Full Sessions: 30+ images
Adventure Sessions: 40–50 images
Newborn Sessions: 25–30 images
Studio Sessions: 12–30 images
Travel Sessions: 50+ images
Additional images and upgrades are available.
Do you offer video?
Yes — cinematic films are one of my specialties.
You can add a 30–60 second handcrafted film to any session.
These capture movement, sound, and emotion in a way still photos can’t, and they’re a beautiful keepsake for families, couples, and legacy sessions.
Do you offer clothing or styling help?
Yes. After booking, you’ll receive a full styling guide with color palettes, outfit suggestions, and tips for creating a cohesive, timeless look.
You’re welcome to text me outfit ideas—I love helping clients choose clothes that match the setting and the vibe of the session.
What happens if my kids don’t want to cooperate?
Honestly? It’s never an issue.
My sessions are relaxed, play-based, and movement-focused, which is why kids do so well with me. I lean into whatever energy they bring — silly, shy, wild, or quiet — and that’s where the best moments come from.
What’s your editing and delivery time?
Galleries are delivered within 2–3 weeks.
Cinematic films take 2–4 weeks depending on complexity.
Rush delivery is available for +$75.
Do you reschedule for weather?
Light rain is actually beautiful, but we’ll reschedule if the weather becomes unsafe or unworkable.
Reschedules may be done once at no cost if notice is provided.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Dogs are absolutely welcome. Just let me know ahead of time so we can choose a dog-friendly location.
Do you travel?
Yes. I offer Travel Sessions starting at $1,600, which include travel up to 150 miles.
Further travel (Yosemite, Tahoe, Monterey, the coast, Mexico, etc.) is available upon request.
Can I order additional images or prints?
Absolutely. You can purchase:
Additional images → $25 each
Set of 10 → $175
Prints, albums, and wall art through your gallery store
What should we expect during the session?
Expect movement, fun, cuddles, laughter, exploring, and a very relaxed pace.
I’ll guide when needed but the best images usually come from natural interaction.
Your only job is to be present with each other — the rest is on me.
Do you photograph weddings?
Yes — I offer intimate weddings, elopements, and full wedding coverage.
Please inquire for the wedding guide and available collections.
What should we wear?
Neutrals and earth tones always photograph beautifully.
Avoid bright neon or distracting logos.
Comfort > perfection — always.
I’ll help guide you through the full process after booking.
